18/04/2012Scarborough Shoal or Huangyan Island (Just the Beginning)
Scarborough Shoal or Huangyan Island? Recently the Philippine Navy intercepted a Group of Chinese Fishing Boats at an Island (Scarborough Shoal or Huangyan Island) in the Pacific in an area called “The South China Sea or The West Philippine Sea.” There was a give and take among all of the Vessels. The Philippines states that the Fishermen were also taking Fish, Sharks and Giant Clams all of which are protected under Philippine Law. Within a few days the Chinese Fishing Vessels sailed off with their catch. And, now the Philippines has only a Guard Ship and an Archeological Research Vessel at the Island. 14/04/2012HOW TO DEAL WITH THE SOMALI PIRATES III
HOW TO DEAL WITH THE SOMALI PIRATES III I am still amazed that a “Rag-Tag” Group from Somalia can create so much havoc in the Indian Ocean. Notice, that I said “Indian Ocean,” because they are no longer confined to the Shores off of Somalia. I just read where the Pirates have now acquired more sophisticated weaponry from the former Gadhafi regime. One of the so called acquisitions is a mine that can be attached to the hull of a ship. She wants to visit America and then return to her family, job and Country. She paid the equivalent of about $150 for the application and interview with the American Consulate in Shanghai. She was denied a Visa. The American Staff Member told her that she was a likely candidate to remain in America (bec...

04/04/2012Why would Anyone or Any Country send "Aid" of any Type to these People?
Summary of the US Congressional Report on "Aid to North Korea." Should the United States resume food, energy, and/or denuclearization assistance to North Korea? This is the major issue facing Congress in considering the provision of aid to Pyongyang. Between 1995 and 2008, the United States provided North Korea with over $1.3 billion in assistance: just over 50% for food aid and about 40% for energy assistance. Since early 2009, the United States has provided virtually no aid to North Korea. In late February 2012, after bilateral talks with the United States, North Korea announced a moratorium on long-range missile launches, nuclear tests, and nu...
